Hektosoft Web Portal Hektosoft Hektograph is a completely portable application for the Windows operating system. Portable means that it can be run from a memory stick without prior running an installation procedure on the PC. Version 1.4 has been successfully tested on the 64 Bit version of Windows Vista and Windows 7 as well as on the 32 Bit version of Windows XP with Service Pack 3, Windows Vista and Windows 7. What is Hektograph good for? Hektograph enables you to quickly make backups of whole original CD and DVD Media or just certain sectors. Actually Hektograph is the fastest tool to create backups of the following media types: 1. Single Session DVD (PC / XBOX & XBOX-360 with SplitVid* / Wii with Dual Layer / GameCube) 2. Audio CD (CD-DA) conforming to Red Book, with CDTEXT enhancement 3. CD-Rom conforming to Yellow Book 4. CD-Rom conforming to Multisession Version 1.0 5. CD-Rom conforming to CD-Rom XA 6. Individual tracks or specific sectors on data disks * XGD3 is not supported. The Software supports as well the recording of backups to CD & DVD disk types: 1. Supported is the recording of CD-R/-RW 2. Supported is the recording of DVD-R/-RW/-R DL/-RW DL 3. Supported is the recording of DVD+R/+RW/+R DL/+RW DL 4. Supported is the recording of DVD-RAM 5. Supported are the most common image types (ie *.iso, *.cue/bin, *.360 and *.ngc) Additional functionality on Audio CDs: 1. Ripping of single or multiple titles or individual sectors as *.wav file 2. Simultaneous transcoding into any installed WMA or ACM Codec (ie MP3) 3. Retrieving of titelnames through FreeDB 4. Recording retrieved titlenames as CDTEXT On top of that the software includes a freely configurable SRB-Exercizer for 6, 10 and 12 byte command descriptor blocks (CDBs) with template administration and a mode page editor. These are functions that you would normally find only in driver developement tools worth thousands of dollars.
